Google has stepped up its pace in the AI subscription space by introducing a more affordable variant for Indian consumers. Priced at Rs. 399 per month, the new Google AI Plus plan offers advanced AI features, cloud storage, and creative tools under one umbrella. The new cost is nearly one-fifth of the price of the previous AI Premium tier.
Additionally, new subscribers are eligible to purchase the plan at Rs. 199 a month for the first six months, making it one of the cheapest AI plans that are currently accessible in the market.
Google previously offered an AI Premium subscription plan in India for Rs. 1,950 per month. While it gave access to Gemini 3 Pro, the high price kept mainstream users at bay. With the new AI Plus plan, Google is aiming for wider adoption by positioning it as an entry-level variant targeting families, students, and creators who want powerful AI features without a high monthly bill.
The centerpiece of the plan is an expanded usage quota for Gemini 3 Pro, the most powerful AI model Google has built to date. Gemini 3 Pro is capable of executing high-level programming tasks, comprehending intricate logical questions, and analyzing visual as well as spatial information. The device’s multimodal features further allow users to convert handwritten content into a digital copy.
Subscribers also receive 200 monthly AI credits that can be redeemed across Google’s emerging creative tools:
Flow, an AI-powered filmmaking tool enabled with Veo 3.1’s video mode.
Whisk - a tool that converts images into videos using Veo 3.
Similarly, users of NotebookLM receive extended access to improve long-form research and document mapping workflows.

Google leans heavily on its creative suite. The AI Plus plan also includes access to the trending image-editing tool Nano Banana Pro, which packs features for quick, smart edits using AI. The image generator’s capabilities will be combined with Google Photos’ existing features like background blur, Magic Editor, portrait enhancements, and more.
The subscription will include 200GB of cloud storage across Drive, Photos, and Gmail. It allows users to share this plan with as many as five family members, thus making it a strong value addition for households reliant on shared digital storage.
Google says Gemini will be available across more services, including Gmail, Docs, and other Workspace apps, enabling AI-assisted writing, summarizing, and content creation across platforms.
