First XRP ETF of the US Plunged 40%

The first US spot XRP ETF has fallen over 40% from its peak despite attracting significant institutional capital since launch.

Canary Capital’s Canary XRP ETF, the first US exchange-traded fund holding spot XRP, is currently trading at USD 15.94, down 40.1% from its peak after debuting in late 2025.

The fund is also down 21.24% year-to-date, making it one of the weakest-performing crypto ETFs since launch. However, it has shown signs of stabilization, gaining 6.7% over the past month after bottoming near the USD 11 to USD 12 range.

Since launching in late 2025, the seven US spot XRP ETFs have accumulated roughly USD 1.79 billion in net inflows and currently manage between USD 1.66 billion and USD 1.77 billion in assets.

Winklevoss Files for ZEC ETF

Winklevoss Asset Services filed an S-1 registration statement with the SEC on October 6, 2026, for a proposed spot Zcash ETF that would hold ZEC directly and list on Nasdaq under the ticker WINK.

The prospectus says its information may change and shares cannot be sold until the registration statement becomes effective.

The proposed fund would charge a 0.25% annual sponsor fee, use Gemini Trust Company as custodian, and avoid leverage and derivatives. Winklevoss Capital Fund affiliates have indicated interest in buying up to USD 100 million in shares, but that interest is expressly nonbinding.

This news dropped as ZEC is trading at USD 1,315, down nearly 3% over the past 24 hours. Daily trading volume sits at USD 679 million, and Zcash is still up 11% over the past 30 days, with investors hoping this WINK ETF news could spark a fresh rally.

Robinhood Adds USD 25 million in BTC

Robinhood now holds Bitcoin on its own books worth  USD 25 million for its corporate balance sheet. Its first such purchase came out today when senior vice president and general manager of crypto and international, Johann Kerbrat, disclosed the buy in an interview on The Block’s The Starting Block.

Kerbrat made the announcement on the same day he was speaking at Token2049 in Singapore. He clarified the reason for the company’s purchase, saying the move helped line up the company’s vision with the crypto community. He was just as quick to play down the size of the purchase.

With Robinhood valued at around USD 100 billion, he said the position is ‘not going to change a lot of the current trajectory of the company.’ Robinhood shares closed at USD 112 on Tuesday, leaving the company with a market cap of roughly USD 100 billion.

Conduit Sues Tether Over Frozen USDT

Conduit Technology has taken the stablecoin issuer Tether to federal court over a USD 2.76 million USDT freeze that has lasted more than a year, arguing the stablecoin giant effectively seized working capital it had no right to touch.

Conduit claims that Brazilian authorities investigating an unrelated company never identified its treasury wallet for freezing. Instead, according to the complaint, Tether’s own financial crime unit picked the address using its own undisclosed criteria.

“Tether acted on its own initiative, through its T3 Financial Crime Unit, based on its own private criteria,” the legal complaint states. Conduit says it created the Fireblocks wallet in May 2025 to hold the company’s working capital. Before Tether froze it on September 24, 2025, the wallet had processed 4,427 transactions involving 78 counterparties and more than USD 1.1 billion in volume.
