At CES 2026, MSI rolled out one of its most expansive product refreshes in recent times. The announcement revealed ultra-light business laptops, power-hungry gaming machines, and a refreshed handheld.

The company signalled a clear intent to cover every major PC segment in 2026. All of these devices are built around the latest Intel Core Ultra processors, paired with NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics where applicable.

Is Prestige Series Now MSI’s Business Flagship?

The redesign for MSI Prestige 14 and Prestige 16 laptops focuses on portability and polish. With full-aluminium builds, slimmer profiles, and weights dropping to 1.32kg and 1.59kg, the company is clearly targeting mobile professionals.

Intel Core Ultra Series 3 chips, Intel Arc graphics, and battery life claims of up to 30 hours position the Prestige as a serious all-day machine. Flip variants add OLED touchscreens, stylus support, and enterprise-grade security.

How Light Can MSI Laptops Really Get?

MSI also displayed Prestige 13 AI+, tipping the scales at just 899 grams. Aimed at frequent travellers, it combines an OLED display, Wi-Fi 7, and up to 64GB of memory in what MSI claims is the world’s lightest 13-inch magnesium-aluminium laptop.

What’s New for Mainstream Users?

The Modern 14S and 16S refresh brings cleaner design, improved materials, and upgrade-friendly internals. With a wide selection of ports and Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, the Modern S series targets students and home users seeking value without sacrificing build quality.

How Far Can Thin Gaming Laptops Go?

Stealth 16 AI+ integrates a 16.6mm thin chassis with RTX 50-series graphics, while Raider 16 Max HX boasts a 300W total system power and a 240Hz OLED display. MSI's Crosshair series offers aggressive styling and strong performance at more accessible price points.

What About Handheld Gamers?

What makes the lineup even more exciting is the Claw 8 AI+ Glacier Blue Edition, a visually striking handheld. The new model keeps its high-refresh 8-inch display and large 80Wh battery intact. It clearly indicates that MSI now sees portable gaming as a long-term bet.

These modifications give a major hint that the company is aiming for market dominance through niche devices and hardware upgrades. It remains to be seen how these models perform and if the enhancements prove to be an effective source of profits for the company.
