Apple has introduced its much-anticipated AirPods Pro 3 at the Apple Event 2025. These next-generation wireless earbuds bring major upgrades in health, translation, and audio performance. AirPods Pro 3 will offer better stability during workouts and daily use. Apple has also come up with new foam-infused ear tips in five sizes, including an extra-small option. The earbuds also carry an IP57 water and sweat resistance rating.
One of the standout additions to the new AirPods Pro 3 is Live Translation, powered by Apple Intelligence. Users can now hear real-time translations of conversations around them through the earbuds, making them especially useful for travelers.
The feature also works in reverse. It means a user can speak in their native language, and the system will translate it into another language, delivered as speech or text on an iPhone. Initially, AirPods Pro 3 Live Translation will support English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish, with Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese coming later in 2025.
For the first time, AirPods integrate health tracking. A heart rate sensor paired with motion data enables fitness logging and syncs with the Apple Fitness app. On the audio side, noise cancellation has been doubled in effectiveness compared with the previous generation. Meanwhile, transparency mode offers more natural voice clarity. Battery life has also improved, offering up to 10 hours of use with transparency mode enabled.
Apple AirPods Pro 3 are priced at $ 249, much higher than the current price of its previous model, AirPods Pro 2, which now retail at $129-$199. They will be available for pre-order on Tuesday, Sept. 9. Meanwhile, the global release date is set for September 19.
Apple is signaling a shift toward earbuds that double as health trackers, translators, and intelligent lifestyle companions with the launch of AirPods Pro 3. As more languages are added and fitness integration expands, the earbuds could become an indispensable travel and wellness gadget. However it remains to be seen if AirPods will successfully replace your fitness band and translator apps altogether.
