Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Meta and Nvidia are accelerating India investments across AI, cloud, data centers and computing infrastructure. The companies announced major commitments through 2030 as India expands AI capacity, digital services and semiconductor ambitions.
Amazon committed USD 48 billion through 2030, including USD 13 billion for AI and cloud infrastructure. The latest funding expands AWS capacity in Mumbai and Hyderabad, alongside logistics and digital commerce operations.
Amazon says the broader plan will support more than 20 fulfillment centers and over 100 delivery stations. The company also plans AI tools for millions of Indian small businesses as cloud demand continues rising.
Microsoft committed USD 17.5 billion between 2026 and 2029 for cloud, AI infrastructure and operations. The investment also supports Microsoft's fourth cloud region in Hyderabad and a nationwide AI skilling program.
Microsoft plans to train 20 million people in AI skills by 2030, expanding India's technical talent base. The Hyderabad cloud region also targets advanced AI workloads and large-scale enterprise computing.
Google committed approximately USD 15 billion from 2026 to 2030 for its first Indian AI hub. The Visakhapatnam project combines gigawatt-scale computing, data centers, energy infrastructure and new subsea connectivity.
Google broke ground on the hub in April 2026 with AdaniConneX and Airtel as partners. The project aims to provide large-scale compute capacity for businesses, startups and digital services.
Meta did not disclose a comparable financial commitment for its latest Indian infrastructure project. The company will lease capacity at Reliance's 168 MW AI-enabled data center in Jamnagar, Gujarat.
Meta also contracted nearly one gigawatt of renewable energy through separate Indian clean-energy agreements. Mark Zuckerberg called the Jamnagar facility a major step for Meta's long-term Indian infrastructure expansion.
Nvidia follows a different model, supplying advanced GPUs for India's growing AI computing ecosystem. L&T plans a Chennai AI factory with 10,000 Nvidia B300 GPUs for Together AI workloads.
The project shows how Nvidia supports India's infrastructure buildout without announcing a comparable company-wide investment figure. The Chennai facility will support large-scale AI training, inference and fine-tuning workloads.
The combined Amazon, Microsoft and Google commitments total USD 80.5 billion through the stated investment periods. The figure excludes Meta's undisclosed deal and Nvidia's hardware partnerships, avoiding comparisons across different investment models.
India's growing AI demand, developer base, connectivity and infrastructure plans continue attracting large technology investments. The spending signals a broader shift toward building AI compute, cloud capacity and digital infrastructure inside India.
