Tara Gaming has announced the launch of The Age of Bhaarat, a premium action RPG based on ancient Indian mythology. Its development team is headed by industry veteran Nouredine Abboud (Ghost Recon Wildlands), megastar Amitabh Bachchan (aka Big B), and bestselling author Amish Tripathi.
Age of Bhaarat puts players in the role of a Forest Warden who must protect their native land from Rakshasa demons. It’s inspired from Indian mythology such as the Ramayan. The game also offers a cinematic experience of lore, ancient weapons, magical abilities, and brutal combat with a grappling hook mechanic for vertical movement.
Players will venture through ruined forests, magical lakes, and dangerous mountain peaks. It will also feature multiplayer support, solo or cooperative gameplay. The engaging narrative revolves around duty, betrayal, and defining the destiny of a world about to descend into chaos.
The Indian gaming company combines Abboud's AAA background, Bachchan's cultural influence, and Tripathi's storytelling excellence.
Bachchan commented, "India has always been a land of strong stories… through this game, we can share our epics and imagination with the world."
Tripathi, who heads narrative development, said, "We want to showcase Indian itihaas in a bold, contemporary context that global audiences will adore."
The Age of Bhaarat will debut on PC through Steam and Epic Games Store, and on unidentified consoles. A release date hasn't been finalized.
Tara Gaming hopes to place the nation on the world gaming map by combining AAA-quality production with genuine Indian narrative. The initial trailer is already creating buzz due to its technical caliber and mythic scope.
