

The position of Senior Staff Data Scientist, Marketing at Databricks India is an exciting opportunity for experienced data science practitioners who are passionate about marketing analytics, causal inference, and using data to drive business growth.
This position is based in the marketing analytics team and works to develop predictive models, measurement frameworks, and analytics platforms to improve campaign performance, improve customer engagement, and support better business decision-making across the company.

Develop and oversee Multi-Touch Attribution (MTA) and Marketing Mix Models (MMM) to assess marketing impact at different stages of the buyer's journey.
Utilize causal inference techniques such as propensity score matching and double robust regression to evaluate the incremental impact of marketing.
Partner across functions to design and evaluate A/B tests and incrementality studies, to help flip campaign performance.
Create audience segmentation and personalization frameworks based on first- and third-party audience data to optimize performance with regard to targeting and conversion.
Build lead prioritization models and scoring systems to improve sales velocity and conversion.
Distill complex marketing data into meaningful insights and stories for the executive level that guide strategy.
Leverage machine learning and regression modeling, where applicable, to optimise marketing activity, including channel spend, targeting and segments, at scale.
Map customer journeys as a whole to understand drop offs in points in time, in an effort to improve nurturing.
Create dashboards, playbooks and training materials to operationalize analytics, and enable differentiated proficiency of users.
A degree in a quantitative discipline including Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or Marketing Analytics
7+ years experience in marketing analytics, data science, or business intelligence, preferably in B2B SaaS or a marketplace.
Experience with B2B marketing funnels, KPIs (conversion rates, CAC, ROI), and measuring campaign effectiveness.
Experience with Python (or R) and libraries like pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, or statsmodels
Strong understanding of methods in causal inference and their application in marketing.
Experience with experiment platforms and A/B testing in volume.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and project execution skills.
Experience in marketing data science leadership roles at global technology or B2B SaaS companies
Deep understanding of advanced analytics frameworks for marketing optimization
Ability to translate data to strategic recommendations in fast-moving environments
