What Skills Do You Need?

  • Advanced working SQL database knowledge and experience in SQL tuning
  • At least 3-7 years experience in working with different databases, SQL query authoring, and relational databases
  • Experience and familiarity in data modeling and operating visualization tools. Some examples of such tools are Tableau, Hue, Cluvio, and Looker.
  • Mandatory work experience on any of the Relational Database Management System (RDBMS)
  • Working experience of Redshift and Redshift administration. Redshift is a cloud-based data warehouse
  • Someone who has hands-on experience in any of the programming languages. However, experience in working with python is preferred.
  • Experience in cloud platforms, preferably AWS.

Your Roles As a Data Engineer

  • As a data engineer, you will require to build data infrastructures for optimal extraction, management, and loading, and transformation of data from different databases using SQL and AWS big data technologies.
  • Create and maintain data pipeline architecture to enhance the scalability
  • Build and develop tools to gain insights on customers, operational efficiency, and business performance indicators to understand the growth and progress of the company.
  • You will be required to work in collaboration with other teams in the company to understand data requirements, accuracy, etc.
  • Collaboratively work with data science teams that help to productionize their data infrastructures. The company requires its data engineers to work closely with data and analytics experts to enhance the efficiency and productivity of its data systems and flows.
