Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is finally on PC. It is one of the most successful PlayStation 5 games released in 2023. From the portrayal of Peter Parker and Miles Morales to the fighting sequences of the game, they are all so thoughtfully designed that they mesmerize gamers with the first look.
Throughout these years, PC players have been constantly begging Insomniac Games for a PC port, and finally, it is here with more spectacular features to explore during the gameplay. However, before everything, the first question that comes to mind is whether everyone can access the game.
After a long wait, finally, on January 30, 2025, PC players got access to much-praised Peter Parker and Miles Morales adventures initially released in October 2023. Though the port was in development for a while, Insomniac Games never really opened up about the system requirements or performance of the game on PC. Therefore, until the game was released on PC, things were unknown.
As soon as the PC port came to light, gamers got confused about whether they could enjoy this game on low-budget PCs or if this requires high-end systems to run. This confusion is normal. So, let’s check the game's minimum and recommended system requirements on PC.
If one doesn’t really care about the splendid visuals and graphics quality of the game, here’s the option to run the game at 720p with 30 fps.
CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 3100/Intel Core i3-8100
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650/AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT
Storage: 140 GB SSD
RAM: 16 GB minimum.
Operating System: Windows 10/11 64-bit (minimum; the higher, the better).
Not everyone is happy with the minimum requirement, as they want to enjoy the game with a little more features, including high graphics, impressive visuals, etc. For them, running the game at 60 FPS with 1080p is an option.
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600/Intel Core i5-8400
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060/AMD Radeon RX 5700
Storage: 140 GB SSD
RAM: 16 GB (minimum)
Operating System: Windows 10/11 64-bit (minimum)
Now, a group of gamers aren’t satisfied with the 1080p. They look for QHD resolution, and Insomniac Games has ways to satisfy them as well. So, with specific system requirements, the game can even run at 60 FPS with 1440p.
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600/Intel Core i5-11400
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070/AMD Radeon RX 6800
Storage: 140 GB SSD
RAM: 16 GB
Operating System: Windows 10/11 64-bit
Systems that meet these specific requirements can run the game in a higher graphic quality and enjoy all the included features in the gameplay.
The PC port of the game came out suddenly. There was no news of this game’s PC performance prior to its launch. However, the expectations were high after the game’s stunning PS5 performance. Whether Insomniac Games succeeded in meeting this high expectation is not completely sure, as the PC port is just one day old.
Anyway, no negative review has yet arrived about this game’s performance on PC. In fact, in the PlayStation blog, developer Nixxes Software shared that almost every impressive feature from the PS5 version of the game is added to the PC port; there are even new features like ray tracing “to finetune performance and fidelity across a broad range of hardware configurations.”
Ray tracing is one of the best additions to the game, making it more realistic from every side. Of course, ray tracing will be available on every system. Still, gamers with Nvidia's DLSS Ray Reconstruction can further improve the ray tracing feature on recommended graphics cards like the RTX 40 and 50 series cards.
Additionally, the PC port will support AMD's FSR and Intel's XeSS upscaling technologies to increase performance on supported hardware. Finally, players don’t need PSN accounts to run Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on PC.
