Akuma Armor & Moves: Craft Akuma gear and use his signature attacks in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Blanka-Chan Palico & Quests: Unlock cute Palico gear and special crossover quests for rewards.
Permanent Update: This crossover content is permanent, not a limited-time event.
Capcom’s new crossover event between Monster Hunter Wilds and Street Fighter 6 launched on May 28, 2025, and is quickly gaining attention. The event allows players to step into the shoes of Akuma, one of Street Fighter’s most powerful fighters, as they explore the perilous world of the Forbidden Lands.
Akuma is known for his aggressive fighting style and powerful moves. In Monster Hunter Wilds, the players embark on forming an Akuma-type hunter by crafting a full set of armor. The armor unleashes his trademark attacks like the Gou Hadoken (fiery energy blast), Gou Shoryuken (rising powered uppercut), and Raging Demon, turning monster brawls into scenic Street Fighter fight animations.

The fun doesn’t stop with Akuma. Palicos—hunters’ feline companions—can also join the fun by wearing the "Blanka-chan" armor set. This kit makes Palicos look like plush versions of Blanka, another prominent character from Street Fighter. It is just an elevated fun touch to the somber monster hunts.
Interesting armor sets like this require one to have a side quest called "Ultimate Strength" unlocked, which comes after reaching Hunter Rank 21. The quest starts by talking to Quinn, the Vespae Unit Handler, at the Oilwell Basin Base Camp. There are also arena quests like "Demonic Strength" and "True Strength" that offer extra chances to earn rewards tied to the crossover.

For players who want even more Street Fighter content, there’s a paid DLC pack. This adds Street Fighter-themed cosmetic items like emotes, backgrounds, stickers, and pendants. Players can also dress the Handler Alma in outfits inspired by Cammy and Chun-Li, two popular fighters from Street Fighter.
Capcom confirmed that this crossover won’t be temporary. The Akuma and Blanka-chan content will stay in Monster Hunter Wilds for good, letting players enjoy the collaboration anytime.
This crossover blends the world of monster hunting with classic fighting game action. Whether unleashing Akuma’s powerful moves or enjoying the playful Palico outfits, players get a fresh way to experience Monster Hunter Wilds with a Street Fighter twist. It’s a fun mix of challenge, style, and nostalgia that adds something new to both games.
