Helldivers 2 continues to develop its arsenal with the new Borderline Justice Warbond, launching on March 20. This update introduces a new Western experience complete with weapons, armor sets, and new emotes. Expect frontier justice themed guerilla warfare with new outrageous action gear.
The Warbond brings two new weapons, the R-6 Deadeye lever-action Marksman Rifle, and the LAS-58 Talon laser revolver. A new type of jet pack that enables hovering while attacking was also added, so players can now use more advanced vertical movement options. Fights will become more tactical with the time delay feature of the new TED-63 Dynamite. There is also a new Sample Extractor gadget, but no information has been provided about this device yet.
Players can unlock exclusive armor sets, banners and capes with this Warbond. It also includes a new emote and player title. The Warbond costs roughly $10 in Super Credits, which can be purchased or earned through gameplay. Arrowhead Studios has also added more items to the in-game cosmetic store, accessible to all players.
A recent balance patch introduced buffs for several weapons, including the Eruptor, Slugger and Pummeler. The MG-206 Heavy Machine Gun now has better armor penetration, and exosuits offer more uses. The update also improved enemy AI awareness and adjusted armor values for the barrager tank enemy.
The user base maintains its strength for Helldivers 2 on Steam while giving mostly positive reviews. Chief creative director Johan Pilestedt warned about the gaming industry that publishers need to try new things rather than playing it safe by following current popular trends. Pilestedt stressed that game studios must produce various types of entertainment to maintain a secure business environment.
The Helldivers 2 development team provides expanding content along with rewarding gameplay for players across the world.
