TSMC Expands Japan Chip Production

TSMC plans to begin equipment installation and mass production of advanced 3-nanometre wafers at its second Japan factory in 2028. The updated project will produce 15,000 12-inch wafers monthly using 3-nanometre technology. Earlier Japan plans focused on older chip processes. TSMC’s first Japan fab started production in late 2024. Sony, DENSO, and Toyota are minority investors in its Japan semiconductor venture. CC Wei confirmed plans during a February meeting earlier.

EnerVenue has raised an additional $300 million in Series B funding led by Full Vision Capital. NIC Opens Scientist-B Recruitment Drive

The National Informatics Centre has opened applications for 243 Scientist-B posts across Computer Science, Electronics, and Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. The recruitment process is based on GATE 2024, 2025, or 2026 scores. Applications started on March 27 and will close on April 24, 2026. Selected candidates will work on government digital and e-governance projects, with salaries ranging from Rs 56,100 to Rs 1,77,500.
