Fed Holds at 3.75% to 4% as Two Officials Dissent

The Federal Reserve held rates at 3.75% to 4% in a 10-2 vote. Governor Lisa Cook and Cleveland Fed President Beth Hammack dissented in favor of a quarter-point hike. The statement said activity is expanding strongly and inflation remains elevated.

Chair Warsh said the Fed will hold fewer rate-setting meetings, with only six in 2028. Bloomberg reports bond traders price in about a 90% chance of a December hike. Bitcoin briefly dipped under USD 80,000 after those signals, and altcoins followed lower.

Bitcoin's October Rally Fades as US Demand Shrinks

CryptoQuant data shows Bitcoin returned negative 4.2% in October, against an average gain of 18.1% since 2020. Spot demand has stayed negative daily since October 14. Thirty-day apparent demand sits at negative 76,000 BTC as of October 25.

Trader profit margins fell from 33% to 8%, which thins the cushion for dip buyers. CryptoQuant marks support between USD 73,000 and USD 77,600. Analysts also note the average ETF holder cost basis sits near USD 81,500, just above spot.

MARA Sends Another 1,000 BTC to BitGo

MARA Holdings moved 1,000 BTC, worth about USD 80.66 million, to BitGo overnight, according to PANews. The transfer is the fourth large move from the miner in October. Traders closely track such custody moves, as they can precede spot sales.

CoinMarketCap reported that MARA moved 4,860 BTC in October, equal to six months of output. The USD 81,000 to USD 81,800 zone already caps rebounds. Fresh miner supply matters more while ETF demand stays thin. Further transfers would add pressure.

Hyperliquid Team Unstakes 179,706 HYPE

HyperLabs applied to unstake 179,706 HYPE, valued at USD 14.49 million, with arrival expected on November 4. The move follows earlier team unlock cycles in recent months. Tokens usually reach team members first, then trade over the counter through Flowdesk.

Hyperliquid still dominates perpetual DEX activity. Open interest across the sector rose 76% in the third quarter to about USD 24 billion. Hyperliquid held about 53% of it. HYPE still fell 2.9% in 24 hours, so leadership has not shielded the token.

Ripple Doubles Down on XRP as Price Slides

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse said Ripple will never give up on XRP, answering rumors of a shift toward RLUSD. Ripple expects USD 900 million in annualized product revenue by year-end. RLUSD market capitalization has reached USD 2.6 billion.

Coinbase now supports RLUSD transfers on Base, Ethereum and XRPL. Even so, XRP fell 3.0% in 24 hours to USD 1.30 and has dropped nearly 30% this year. Ripple also won OCC approval for a national trust bank.

DTCC Tokenization Service Goes Live

DTCC announced its tokenization service is live, with 34 securities initially eligible. Tokens are backed 1:1 by securities held in custody at DTC, which holds roughly USD 30 trillion in assets. Built-in compliance controls track ownership in near real time.

Holders keep the same legal and economic rights as the underlying securities. Early partners include BitGo, Blockdaemon, Fireblocks, HashKey and Tradeweb. Wallet transfers run around the clock on a peer-to-peer basis, and CUSIP codes stay identical across markets
