Meet Dyson’s AI Toothbrush: Dyson has brought its engineering obsession to oral care with the new CameraJet toothbrush. The device combines an integrated camera, artificial intelligence, brushing technology and targeted mouthrinse jets. It is designed to make brushing more precise while tackling the hard-to-clean spaces between teeth.
Built-In 100K Pixel Camera: The CameraJet features a 100,000-pixel macro camera inside the brush head. It captures the inside of your mouth in real time while you brush. The camera helps the system identify the spaces between teeth, giving the toothbrush a surprisingly detailed view of your cleaning routine.
AI Finds Gaps Between Teeth: The toothbrush uses machine learning and Dyson’s Gap Optical Targeting technology to detect gaps between teeth. It tracks and predicts these spaces as you brush. When a gap is identified, the system can trigger a targeted burst of mouthrinse to reach areas that traditional brushing can miss.
Precision Mouthrinse Jet: The CameraJet does more than brush because it can deliver a focused jet of mouthrinse between teeth. Dyson says its conical jet is designed to sweep away plaque while being gentler on gums and enamel. The idea is to combine brushing and interdental cleaning in one routine.
Live View Through MyDyson: The built-in camera connects with the MyDyson app to provide a live view of the cleaning process. Users can access guided sessions and see where they are brushing. The connected experience also provides coverage information and personalised feedback to help improve technique over time.
Smart Brush Head Technology: The brush head combines different bristle types to clean tooth surfaces while being gentle around the gumline. Each brush head also contains an RFID tag. This allows the toothbrush to recognise the attached head and alert users when it is time for a replacement.
A Toothbrush That Thinks Differently: The CameraJet also includes multiple cleaning modes, variable sonic brushing and a dedicated dock for charging and refilling mouthrinse. Dyson has created special low-foaming oral-care products to maintain camera visibility. It is an ambitious rethink of a routine product, although its premium price will not suit every user.
