SanDisk has launched a new set of SSDs made for NAS setups in India. The launch brings two products: the NAS 600 SATA SSD and the NAS 800 NVMe SSD. Both drives are built for people who need steady, reliable storage that can handle heavy daily use.
The company says the new range is meant for small businesses, creative professionals, and home users who rely on NAS systems to store and share large amounts of data. As more people work with bigger files and shared drives, the need for stronger storage has grown.
The NAS 600 SATA SSD is aimed at users who want to upgrade an older NAS system without replacing the whole setup. It can take the place of a regular hard drive, or it can work as a storage or cache layer inside the system.
The drive uses a 2.5-inch, 7mm SATA build, and it slots into NAS bays designed for 3.5-inch drives too, so there is no need for extra hardware to get it installed. Read speeds go up to 560 MB/s, and the top 4TB version carries a 2,500 TBW endurance rating. Capacities span from 500GB to 4TB.

The NAS 800 NVMe SSD is the one to look at for heavier workloads. It runs on PCIe 5.0 and comes in the M.2 2280 format, built to handle databases, virtual machines, content creation, caching, and AI tasks without slowing down.
Capacities start at 960GB and go up to 7.68TB. The top model carries a rating of 14 PBW, which gives it the staying power for continuous, heavy-duty use. Read speeds can hit 14,900MB/s, while write speeds reach 13,200MB/s, with actual numbers varying by model.
Storage needs keep growing as people store more files, share more data, and use tools like AI in daily work. SanDisk's new NAS lineup gives users at different levels, from home setups to small businesses, a way to keep pace with that shift. Both models go on sale from September through SanDisk and select retailers worldwide.
