Primebook has launched the Primebook 3 Max in India at a starting price of Rs. 35,990. The laptop begins the company's third-generation lineup with upgraded hardware and software.

It targets students, developers, young professionals and everyday users seeking affordable computing options. Primebook plans to begin sales around October 1 through Amazon, Flipkart and its website. Select Bajaj Electronics, Sangeetha Mobiles and Pai International stores will also sell the laptop.

The Primebook 3 Max combines a MediaTek Genio 720 processor with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB UFS storage. Primebook claims up to 40% higher performance compared with the previous generation.

The biggest change comes with PrimeOS, which adds productivity tools, Linux applications, security features and operator AI. Primebook aims to expand what an affordable Android-based laptop can handle beyond regular mobile applications.

The laptop features a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS anti-glare display with up to 250 nits of brightness. Its 60.3Wh battery supports a claimed runtime of up to 12 hours. A 36W USB-C charger handles charging, while Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 support wireless connectivity. The device also includes a 5MP webcam, stereo speakers, dual microphones and a backlit keyboard.

PrimeOS introduces PrimeOffice with PrimeDocs, PrimeSheets and PrimePresent for offline productivity. Primebook says the suite delivers more than 90% of commonly needed office functionality. The company plans to extend PrimeOffice support to Primebook 2 and Primebook 3 Pro users.

Linux support adds another major capability through selected applications and terminal access. Supported software includes VS Code, GIMP, LibreOffice, Firefox, Arduino IDE, DBeaver CE and Postman. This setup gives developers and students more options without replacing the Android foundation.

PrimeAGNT adds operator AI capabilities, while the Genio 720 platform includes an integrated NPU. Primebook positions the feature around computer interactions rather than standard chatbot conversations. PrimeSecurity and Task Manager also monitor applications, system resources and potentially harmful software.

The Primebook 3 Max supports storage expansion up to 1TB via its microSD slot. Connectivity includes USB-C, USB-A, a headphone jack and display output support. Primebook will also be offered during Amazon Great Indian Festival and Flipkart Big Billion Days.

Primebook 3 Max enters a crowded budget laptop market with software flexibility as its central proposition. Its Android foundation, Linux support, cloud PC option and AI tools create a broader computing approach. Windows-dependent users may still need compatibility checks before choosing the device for specialized software.
