Motorola is all set to launch the Edge 70 Neo in India, putting an end to months of speculation around the upcoming smartphone. The Lenovo-owned company announced its IFA 2026 press release, but stopped short of revealing a specific launch date.
Motorola said the Edge 70 Neo will roll out in India ‘over the coming months’. The company is yet to announce the India price, storage configurations, or complete specifications. This leaves several key details open ahead of its market debut.
The Edge 70 Neo might follow Motorola’s Neo-series strategy of combining a relatively compact design with premium features. Reportedly, it could feature a 6.3-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. A MediaTek Dimensity 7450 chipset is also tipped to power the device.
Camera capabilities could be another key area of the Edge 70 Neo. The Edge 70 could feature a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10MP telephoto sensor. You could also get a 3x optical zoom and a 50MP front camera.
Early leaks pointed to a 200MP camera, but subsequent reports suggested that the leaked renders and specifications may have been confused with the Edge 70 Plus unveiled at IFA. Therefore, the Neo’s final camera hardware remains uncertain.
The Edge 70 Neo was linked to Android 17 beta testing. Other leaked specifications include a 5,000mAh-or-larger battery, 68W wired charging, 15W wireless charging, and IP68/IP69 protection.
A September or October debut is expected with a price below Rs. 40,000. However, these specifications remain based on leaks and reports. Motorola is yet to make any official announcement.
