GTA 6 finally has a bunch of exciting official updates for players. Rockstar Games has maintained a careful approach over time to the game and its details. However, during one of his interviews with Game Informer, Owen Shepherd, vice president of art for lighting and rendering at Rockstar, mentioned multiple highly anticipated features that players have been looking for.
The most highlighted part is the game's changing weather system. Players have been speculating for a longer time whether the game will feature hurricanes, as they are an integral part of Florida. Now Rockstar has confirmed that the game will have them, but how frequently they will come and how they will impact the gameplay is still under wraps. Additionally, the game will have a dynamic weather system where players can soak in sun rays, but at the same time, they can experience rainbows and puddles at a distance.
Another part that has attracted significant attention includes the wildlife. GTA 6 will have more than 170 animal species, including more than 60 types of birds, over 30 types of land animals, fish, and reptiles. Players can spot alligators, manatees, flamingos and pelicans. Leonida will have six main areas, including Vice City, the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga National Park.
Players can also go fishing, diving, kayaking, racing and play mini-golf. Gyms and zoo visits will add more things to do. The RydeMe app will let players take ride-share trips, listen to music, use social media and talk during the journey.
Even the game will feature in-game social media. Though players can scroll through the feeds in-game, they can’t post on social platforms. Jason and Lucia are constantly on run and them being overly active on social media may bring danger to them.
Additionally, the relationship between Jason and Lucia will also be impacted by how players tackle these characters. Whether their love will go beyond a platonic level or not will be dependent on players’ decisions.

The wildlife system may remind players of Red Dead Redemption 2. GTA 6 will let players track some animals. They can also come across rare animals in the wild. Some animals are placed in Rare, Discoverable, and Legendary groups.
The idea is similar to what Rockstar did in Red Dead Redemption 2. The game used animals to make its forests, rivers, and mountains feel real. GTA 6 takes a similar idea but puts it in a modern setting. Instead of riding through open land, players will explore busy streets, beaches, swamps, and the waters around Vice City.
