Nightreign’s in-game world has taken the Elden Ring community by storm. Since the game was released, players have been continuously enjoying the night raids and expeditions. However, it’s time to pause it for a few hours. The Elden Ring Nightreign servers will go offline to update fresh content.
This standalone roguelike action RPG spin-off from the Elden Ring universe was released on May 30, and within a month, FromSoftware is ready with a major update. This maintenance program is reportedly scheduled to bring gameplay tweaks, bug fixes, and the highly anticipated inclusion of the next Everdark Sovereign boss.
Despite being set in a similar universe as Elden Ring, Nightreign is quite different from other FromSoftware games. This game brings three players together and tasks them to survive the hurdles for three days while leveling up as soon as possible. However, bugs and glitches are always there. So, updating the game is kind of inevitable.
On July 1, Elden Ring’s official X page (formerly Twitter) posted officially about the maintenance. As per the notice, the maintenance will begin on July 2, 2025, at 1 AM PDT (10 AM CEST / 1:30 PM IST) and will last approximately one hour. During this time, global servers of the game will be taken offline temporarily to implement this update.
What this update will bring exactly hasn’t been stated, but assumptions revolve around it doing something with the introduction of the Everdark Sovereign version of the Sentient Pest boss. This in-game boss is scheduled to come to the game on July 3.
Nightreign players have been waiting eagerly for this patch 1.01.4. As soon as the servers are back, players can jump into the game to continue the exploration. Following that, FromSoftware is reportedly publishing the full patch note elaborating on the fixes and content addition.

Now, the question that everyone is trying to find answers to is what to expect from the patch. There’s nothing specific revealed about the patch note. However, speculations hint at fixing some annoying bugs.
For instance, recently, players have complained about the Revenant Nightfarer’s Summon Spirit bug. As per them, the summoned spirits lose health unpredictably. So, the patch may fix this.
Apart from that, Nightreign currently has a solo mode and a three-player mode. So, the update may bring a duos mode as well to make the adventure more enjoyable for gamers. It can even bring the most requested improved filtering and search tools for relic loot.
The moment this maintenance program was announced, Nightreign players have been expecting a lot from it. While some of them are asking for fixing the annoying bugs, some players even ask for nerfing the Castle Bell hunter. They reported that the attacks and health bar of the enemy are broken.
The July 2 maintenance is a brief program, but it carries immense potential to bring meaningful upgrades. At the time of writing, the exact changes are unknown; until the full patch note comes, the picture will be blurred like this. However, fans must get prepared for an upgraded gameplay experience across Limveld once the servers are back.
