Apple is set to hold its next major hardware event on September 9. The tech giant will focus on premium iPhone models and potentially unveil its first foldable iPhone, marking the first major Apple product launch under new CEO John Ternus.
Apple officially announced its September event under the tagline ‘Surprise and Shine.’ The event will begin at 10:00 am Pacific Time, or 10:30 pm IST, on September 9. Apple will stream the presentation on its website and Apple TV app.
The event will take place at Apple Park in Cupertino, California. It comes just days after John Ternus took over as Apple CEO, making it his first major product launch in the role.
Apple could break from its traditional launch strategy this year. Reports indicate that the standard iPhone 18, iPhone 18e and next-generation iPhone Air may be delayed until spring 2027.
Apple may also introduce the Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4 and new AirPods during the event. Reports highlight new health features and a possible ceramic option for the Watch Series 12.
With the foldable iPhone potentially joining the iPhone 18 Pro lineup, Apple's September event could mark a significant shift in its smartphone strategy. That would leave this year's September lineup focused largely on premium devices, including the Pro models and the potential foldable iPhone.
