Apple is promoting a special music-making session featuring British musician Labrinth, just days before the November 6 release of its new OLED MacBook Pro. The event, titled ‘Labrinth Live on Mac’, is scheduled for November 4 and will be streamed on YouTube.

The upcoming session appears to focus on music creation rather than a conventional Apple Music performance, offering a glimpse into how the company’s Mac hardware and creative software can be used to produce music.

Apple Teases Special ‘Live On Mac’ Performance

Apple’s November 2 TikTok post offered the first clue about the event. The video shows a white box being moved into the frame, carrying the label, ‘Do not touch until 11.04.26.’ A hand then writes ‘For Labrinth’ on the box before taking it away.

The post also confirms the event’s date and timing: November 4 at 8 pm PST. Apple has said the performance will stream live on YouTube, with the link available in its TikTok bio.

The link directs viewers to an upcoming livestream on Labrinth’s official YouTube channel. Its promotional image carries the title ‘Labrinth Live on Mac’, while the description says the musician will be ‘Experimenting with some new ways of making music.’

OLED MacBook Pro Could Be Part of Promotion

The timing has drawn attention because it comes just two days before the new MacBook Pro with a PROLED display goes on sale on November 6.

While Apple has not explicitly confirmed that the event will showcase the new laptop, the performance is expected to highlight its touchscreen capabilities and potentially introduce enhancements to Logic, Apple’s music production software.

Labrinth is a singer, songwriter, composer, and record producer known for tracks such as ‘Pass Out’ and ‘Beneath Your Beautiful’. He has also worked with artists including Beyoncé, Rihanna, Nikki Minaj and Eminem. His credits include contributions to the soundtrack of ‘The Lion King: The Gift’.

The event could let Apple show how its latest Mac hardware supports music production and creative workflows.
