Apple started selling its latest Mac mini and Mac Studio models in India, bringing its newest desktop processors and a stronger focus on on-device artificial intelligence. The new lineup includes the Mac mini with M6 and M5 Pro chips, while the Mac Studio is available with M5 Max and M5 Ultra processors.
The new Macs went on sale on September 22 through Apple Store locations, Apple’s online store, the Apple Store app and authorised resellers.
The new Mac mini with M6 starts at Rs. 99,900 in India. The education price starts at Rs 88,900. Apple has also introduced a Mac mini with M5 Pro, starting at Rs 2,09,900.
The M6-powered Mac mini features a 12-core CPU, 12-core GPU and a dual 16-core Neural Engine. Apple claims up to 40% faster CPU performance, twice the graphics performance and up to four times faster AI performance compared with the previous-generation M4 configuration.
The machine starts with 16GB of unified memory and can be configured with up to 32GB. Memory bandwidth reaches up to 170GB/s. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and upgraded 2.5Gb Ethernet, with a 10Gb Ethernet option available.
For professional users, the new Mac Studio starts at Rs. 2,79,900 with M5 Max. The M5 Ultra variant starts at Rs. 6,29,900. Education pricing starts at Rs. 2,56,900 and Rs. 5,84,900, respectively.
The M5 Max version features an 18-core CPU and up to a 40-core GPU, with support for up to 128GB of unified memory. The M5 Ultra scales up to a 36-core CPU, 80-core GPU and 512GB of unified memory. It offers up to 1.2TB/s of memory bandwidth.
Apple says the Mac Studio can deliver up to 4.3 times faster AI performance and up to 1.8 times faster graphics performance compared with the specified previous-generation systems.
