Pokemon GO has introduced a new Global Challenge that presents players with loads of exciting activities to complete.
Pokemon GO events are always exciting but this one makes things a lot better with a gifting system for friends.
Started on May 20, 2025, this event will run until May 22, at 12 pm PT.
Pokemon GO has dropped a new global challenge. Pokemon GO players are well aware of different Pokemon GO events, and the latest one that dropped is named Might and Mastery Finale: Strength in Numbers. This limited-time event began on May 20, 2025, and will run up to May 22 at 12 pm PT. The best part is this latest on Niantic’s list offers players nostalgia and rewards together.
For those who are still unaware of the event or what it is going to offer to players, this article will give players detailed information about it.
Pokémon GO players aren’t unknown to global challenges. These are basically the gameplay elements that unite the community around a specific goal and strengthen the community bond. The most interesting part is that these challenges are pretty straightforward, and they generally don’t provide players with a higher difficulty challenge.
Like if one takes the example of a previous Pokémon GO global challenge, it required players to complete 40 million raids together and receive double Stardust as a bonus when they capture Pokémon. After that, Niantic has taken a step forward and introduced double XP and an encounter with the Gen 9 monster Fidough to make these events more exciting.
Similarly, the Strength in Numbers Global Challenge has also brought a number of community-driven activities where Pokemon trainers will get the chance to collaborate and complete tasks together. The most exciting part is here trainers aim to send a collective total of 30 million gifts globally.
To enable players to reach that specific aim, Niantic has increased the daily limit for opening gifts to 50, which was previously set to 30. This increase in number is only for the event period. This feature received immense popularity among fans. As of the latest update, the community has already sent over 12 million Gifts. This highlights how strongly players have started participating in this event.

The successful completion of the Global Challenge enables players to gift up to 20 Special Research Tickets to friends per day. Well, these tickets can only be given to those with whom they have achieved a friendship score of Great Friends or higher.
These tickets will only be available in the in-game shop from May 23 at 10:00 a.m. local time until May 24 at 5:00 p.m. local time. Below are the steps one should follow to gift a ticket:
Go to the Pokemon GO app and open the Main Menu.
Make your way to the in-game Shop.
Tap on the event image or ticket that one wants to gift.
Click on the Gift button.
Select the friend.
Confirm selection to complete the process.
Here, players should note that these tickets can’t be presented to those who already have them or have presented tickets earlier. Another thing to note is that trainers don’t need to purchase these tickets themselves to gift them to others.
That’s more or less everything one should know about the Might and Mastery Finale: Strength in Numbers Global Challenge. This event once again exemplifies the collaborative spirit of the Pokémon GO community. Sending gifts and working together further strengthens this bond. Trainers can unlock valuable rewards by working together and acknowledging each other’s contributions by sending gifts. This makes this event much more unique than the previous ones.
