The Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2026 is unfolding with great excitement. It has all the potential to be the largest and most competitive BGMI esports tournament in India. One of the biggest attractions of the event is its massive Rs. 2 crore prize pool. The massive amount will no doubt motivate thousands of players and teams across the country, from casual squads to seasoned esports contenders, to participate.
The tournament isn’t easy at all. Veteran players are aware of the event and the preparation. However, if you are a newcomer, you should know that teams must register and ensure that all players meet eligibility requirements and complete the verification process. If you skip any of the methods, you’ll be disqualified or miss the major rounds of the tournament.
Therefore, BGIS is more than a mere competition. This BGMI tournament offers a platform to gain exposure, improve skills, and experience professional esports gameplay. If you are a first-time player here or a seasoned gamer, below are the steps to register for India’s premier BGMI tournament.
BGIS 2026 registration started on December 15, 2025. Registering for the upcoming BGMI tournament is simple, but you must follow the proper steps and complete all verification steps. Here’s a detailed walkthrough:
The registration process begins with visiting the official website of Krafton India Esports. The entire registration process for BGIS 2026 is conducted only through the Krafton India Esports website. So, be sure to visit the official site and avoid any scams. You will find all the tournament details, including links to registration, rules, schedules, and updates, on that site.
If you are a newbie, the first step is creating an account with a valid email address. An OTP will be sent to you for identity verification. On the contrary, if you already have an account, you can just log in with the existing credentials. Just keep in mind that this account will serve as the central hub for coordinating with your team, keeping up with the news, and receiving official announcements from Krafton.
Once you’re logged in, go to the ‘Create Team’ option. Each team should be made of four main players with optional substitutes. Therefore, below are the things you should go for while creating a team:
Choose a unique team name
Upload a team logo
Assign roles or positions to your team members.
If you are a strategic player, these steps will give you an advantage during matches. A balanced team with clearly defined positions will offer a better chance of performing well in the qualifiers.
The next step is to enter all the names of the members on your team. You have to enter all the in-game names of your teammates and their character IDs. These two are mandatory criteria. Once the invite links are sent, each player has to accept the team invitation on their own dashboard before the roster is finalized.
[Note: At this stage, ensure you have entered all the details correctly to prevent any verification issues.]
The next step is to meet all the eligibility criteria for the tournament. All registered team members must meet these criteria. This list of criteria generally includes:
BGMI account level 30+
Minimum Platinum tier rank
Indian residency
Age requirements as specified by Krafton
Incomplete or incorrect details will lead to disqualification. Therefore, one should double-check all information before submission.
After you have finalized the roster and completed the verification process, submit your registration before January 4, 2026. After that, Krafton will conduct a verification process from 5–7 January to ensure all entries comply with tournament rules. Only verified teams will be allowed to participate in the in-game qualifiers.
