For viewers looking for something new to watch, here are all the movies and shows confirmed to release on Apple TV in October 2026:
October begins with the return of The Sisters Grimm. The animated fantasy series follows sisters Sabrina and Daphne Grimm as they deal with the strange happenings in Ferryport Landing, a town where characters and creatures from fairy tales exist alongside humans.
The second season continues the sisters’ search for answers after their parents mysteriously disappeared. Ariel Winter, Leah Newman, Billy Harris and Abubakar Salim lead the voice cast.
Also arriving on October 2 is The Last First: Winter K2, a documentary about an ambitious attempt to climb K2 during winter.
Directed by Amir Bar-Lev, the film follows Icelandic climber John Snorri Sigurjónsson and Pakistani mountaineers Ali and Sajid Sadpara during their 2021 expedition. Alongside the physical risks of climbing one of the world’s most difficult mountains, the documentary looks at how mountaineering has changed as commercial expeditions have become more prominent.
The new show comes into October comedy selection for Apple TV with Small Prophets premiere on October 7th.
The six-part series was created and directed by Mackenzie Crook. The story revolves around Michael Sleep, portrayed by Pearce Quigley. Everything changes in his life once he finds out that there is an old alchemical recipe that can make him produce homunculi, magical creatures said to be able to foresee the future.
They can give him the answer to the mystery of his disappeared partner Clea.
John Cena heads the cast of Matchbox The Movie, which arrives on October 9.
Inspired by Mattel’s Matchbox toys, the action-adventure follows a group of childhood friends whose lives are turned upside down when Sean, an undercover CIA agent and their former leader, returns to their hometown.
Jessica Biel, Sam Richardson, Teyonah Parris and Arturo Castro also feature in the film.
Tenzing arrives on Apple TV on October 16 after beginning its limited theatrical release on October 9.
The film tells the story of Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary and their historic attempt to reach the summit of Mount Everest. Genden Phuntsok plays Norgay, while Tom Hiddleston stars as Hillary. Willem Dafoe and Caitríona Balfe are also part of the cast.
German-language dark comedy Where’s Wanda? returns with its second season on October 21. The new season follows the Klatts as they find themselves caught up in another mystery.
Their daughter Wanda is seemingly found standing over a dead body, leaving the family to investigate what happened and try to prove her innocence. The eight-episode season will release new episodes weekly through December 9.
