In the world of cryptocurrency, decentralized exchanges (DEXes) are quickly gaining popularity. A DEX is a type of exchange that does not require a third party to hold your private keys or funds. This means that you, and only you, have control over your money. DEXes also tend to be more secure than their centralized counterparts because they are not central points of attack. Instead, they are spread out across the network.
One of the newest DEXes on the scene is Pancake Swap, which launched on September 20, 2020. Pancake Swap is built on Binance Smart Chain (BSC), which is a blockchain that is compatible with Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). This means that developers can easily build dapps on BSC using the same tools and frameworks that they use for Ethereum.
Pancake Swap is similar to the popular decentralized exchange Uniswap, which is built on Ethereum. Both exchanges use an automated liquidity protocol to provide users with liquidity pools. These pools are used to finance the swaps that take place on the platform. When you make a trade on Pancake Swap, you are actually taking part in a smart contract that is powered by these liquidity pools.
Now that we have a basic understanding of what Pancake Swap is and how it works, let's explore how to use it.
The first thing you need to do is connect your wallet to Pancake Swap. You can do this by clicking on the "Connect Wallet" button at the top right-hand corner of the screen. This will bring up a popup window where you can select your wallet provider. Currently, Pancake Swap supports MetaMask, Trust Wallet,WalletConnect, and binance keycap wallets.
Once you have connected your wallet, you will be able to see your account balance at the top of the screen. Below this, you will see all of the different tokens that are available for trading on PancakeSwap. In order to trade one of these tokens, just click on its Trading Pair and then enter the amount that you would like to buy or sell in the field provided. Once you have done this, click on eitherthe "Buy" or "Sell" button depending on what type of trade you would like to make.
It's important to note that when you make a trade on PancakeSwap, you will actually be creating a smart contract. This contract defines the terms of your trade and ensures that it is executed correctly. For example, if you are buying token A with token B, then the contract will specify that you will receive token A in exchange for sending token B to the pancake swap smart contract address. Once both sides have fulfilled their obligations as specified in the contract, then the trade will be completed successfully and everyone will receive their tokens.
