Realme unveils its plan to launch the Realme 14 Pro 5G series in India which it says will introduce innovation and aesthetics in the mid-tier segment. This new lineup, comprising the Realme 14 Pro and Realme 14 Pro+, is generating buzz thanks to its standout feature: a brand new and revolutionary concept of a color-changing back panel.
Realme introduces this device on X, formerly known as Twitter. The Realme 14 Pro has an interesting feature of the back cover; when washed with water or kept in a place with a temperature below 16°C, the back cover will change colour. This revolutionary technology pioneered in the company with Nordic industrial design studio Valeur Designers makes the device a color-shifting smartphone.
The Pearl White variant design of the Realme 14 Pro seems to come out after a process that involved 30 steps of fusion fiber technique that makes the final product have a sleek and durable finish.
It also introduces an upgraded design from the previous model, including a circular camera setup that is enclosed in a thick metal rim. Known as the MagicGlow design module this accommodates three sensors and three LED flashlights, which give it an eye-catching sci-fi look.
In terms of durability, the Realme 14 Pro has P66, IP68, and IP69 certifications that protect it against water and dust. With that, the car comes as close as it can to being both fashionable and sturdy in the mid-‘‘price range’’ class.
Although the colour-changing design is one of the key features, it isn’t clear what is new under the smartphone’s hood. Realme has stated that new information will be released soon, expected before the global release in January 2025.
The exact date is not known, but it is expected to be released along with other flagships like the OnePlus 13 and Samsung Galaxy S25 series.
By imploring the new approach with the 14 Pro series, Realme effectively plans on setting new standards in the smartphone design to consider it as one of the leading competitors. More to come in the coming days for this highly anticipated launch!
