Apple’s latest iOS 18.3 update introduces several hidden features. Some updates enhance everyday tasks, while others improve customization options.

Restarting an iPhone no longer requires pressing physical buttons. The redesigned control center features all the classic controls you're used to, like brightness, volume, orientation, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, but there are several new controls, including one to restart your iPhone. Another useful update introduces a QR code method for sharing Wi-Fi passwords. Scanning the code instantly connects devices, including Android phones.

The flashlight now includes beam width adjustments. Users can widen or narrow the beam depending on the lighting needs. This feature works on compatible iPhone models. Another update allows disabling AI-powered notification summaries directly from the lock screen. A left swipe on a notification summary reveals the option to turn it off.

Sharing an AirTag with multiple users is now possible. Up to six people can track the same AirTag, making it useful for shared items. Voice Memos also receive an upgrade. The app now transcribes recordings and allows keyword searches for easier access to stored content.

A cleaner home screen is now an option. If there is a home screen that looks not in order, App labels can be hidden, displaying only icons if the names of the apps seen underneath each app icon become stressful. Another home screen improvement allows transforming an app into a widget without navigating through settings. Users can long-press on an app to access this feature.

The Action Button receives an added capability. Using the Action Button allows users to activate Music Recognition anonymously while bypassing Siri or Control Center interface. Users can also find images with handwriting or illustrations through the search option in the Photos application. The Podcasts app contains another hidden function. Users can share chosen portions of their episodes with friends.

These hidden features in iOS 18.3 enhance both user usability and efficiency among iPhone users. They drive a better performance of overall iPhone usage.
