Apple started rolling out its expanded iCloud+ subscription in India. Apple is giving subscribers access to Apple TV and Apple Arcade at no additional cost. Users started receiving notifications about the updated plan. The expanded iCloud+ plan combines cloud storage with Apple’s video streaming and gaming services.
It starts at Rs. 75 per month for 50GB of storage. Higher storage options are also available. Subscribers can share their iCloud+ plan with up to five family members through Family Sharing. Apple is also adding Apple Music Select to the package for users in India.
The new plan gives iCloud+ users access to Apple TV content and Apple Arcade games. Apple Arcade offers a catalogue of more than 200 games. The service includes titles such as ‘Hello Kitty Island Adventure’, ‘Sneaky Sasquatch’ and ‘Football Manager 26 Touch’.
Apple Music Select will offer ad-free music stations through the existing Apple Music app. It does not provide the complete Apple Music subscription. Users who want full Apple Music access can subscribe separately. Apple lists the Individual plan at Rs. 115 per month and the Family plan at Rs. 145 per month for iCloud+ users in India.
The company is also ending direct standalone subscriptions for Apple TV and Apple Arcade in India. Existing subscribers will continue accessing the services through their iCloud+ plans. Apple said Arcade game progress and saved data will be preserved.
Apple is also closing Apple One subscriptions to new customers in India. Existing Apple One subscribers will continue with their current plans. Apple One currently combines services such as Apple Music, Apple TV, Apple Arcade and iCloud+ storage. The Individual plan is priced at Rs. 195 per month, while the Family plan costs Rs. 365 per month.
Apple said the expanded iCloud+ offering will roll out through September across more than 100 countries and regions. India is among the markets receiving the new subscription structure.
