Shiberse Vs Decentraland: The Real Competition Begins Now

Shiberse is getting ready to beat Decentraland in its own game. But it won't be a cakewalk

In an attempt to enter the metaverse in 2022, the meme coin Shiba Inu has unfurled its virtual real estate 'Shiba Lands'. The new realm of real estate will be available for public auction or purchase soon. In this new venture, SHIB token holders can own a part of the Shiberse metaverse. Meanwhile, the meme coin has yet to confirm the advantages of owning the lands in its metaverse. So far, the project said that people owning land in Shiba Real Estate would gain a lot of benefits. But the real question is which metaverse platform is better Shiberse or everyone's favorite Decentraland?

Shiberse Metaverse

Shiberse is the metaverse of the Shiba Inu meme currency, which will be a meeting point for owners of this digital token, with games and could include virtual land and non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The Metaverse is the Shiba Inu ecosystem's own metaverse space, described by developer Eric M as "a place where our community, tokens, game, ShibaSwap and way more is going to meet together."

Hosted on SHIB.io it will feature 100,595 plots of land that will be made available to purchase. These will all be placed on the metaverse map, lined with streets with Shiba-related names. The metaverse land will also contribute towards the SHIB burn, using a renaming process similar to the Shiboshi NFT burns. Shiboshi NFT holders will have an exclusive area of the metaverse, known as the Shiboshi Zone.

Decentraland

The finite, traversable, 3D virtual space within Decentraland is called LAND, a non-fungible digital asset maintained in an Ethereum smart contract. The land is divided into parcels that are identified by cartesian coordinates (x,y). These parcels are permanently owned by members of the community and are purchased using MANA, Decentraland's cryptocurrency token. This gives users full control over the environments and applications that they create, which can range from anything like static 3D scenes to more interactive applications or games.

Some parcels are further organized into themed communities or Districts. By organizing parcels into Districts, the community can create shared spaces with common interests and uses. The content that makes up Decentraland is stored and distributed via a decentralized network while ownership and transactions are validated on the Ethereum blockchain.
