Closing the Control Gap: Mohar V on How Agentic AI is Redefining Enterprise Work

Agentic AI in Enterprises: Why Autonomy With Human Control Will Shape the Future of Work
Published on

Artificial intelligence is quietly changing its personality. For years, AI has waited for instructions, responding only when asked. Now, a new kind of AI is stepping forward, one that can plan, decide, and act on its own. This shift, known as agentic AI, is reshaping how companies get work done.

Why is Everyone Suddenly Talking about Agentic AI?

In a recent episode of the Analytics Insight podcast, host Priya Dialani spoke with Mohar V, Co-Founder of TECHVED Consulting, about why this moment feels different. According to Mohar, businesses have hit a wall. Digital systems are everywhere, customers expect instant responses, and teams are stretched thin.

Traditional AI helped, but only up to a point. It could perform automated tasks, but the system lacked the capability to control the overall workflow. Agentic AI goes a step further. The system will start working once it is set up, with the objective of developing all necessary procedures.

What didn’t AI Get it Right Earlier?

Earlier AI systems were good rule-followers. They worked best when everything stayed predictable. The actual world does not follow predictable patterns. The operational challenges faced by AI systems arose from the company's expansion into new markets and distribution channels, as AI systems could not handle dynamic market conditions and the sophisticated decision-making requirements of their customers.

The unpredictable nature of reality drives the development of agentic AI systems. It connects components and shows their relationships, dynamically adapting to new situations, and manages complete work processes from beginning to end.

So, is AI Replacing People?

Not really. Mohar is clear on this point. In most companies, humans still call the shots. AI handles the heavy lifting, speed, scale, repetition, while people supervise, approve decisions, and step in when judgment or ethics matter. Jobs aren’t vanishing; they’re shifting.

What Should Companies Watch Out for?

There are real concerns, incorrect outputs, data leaks, and excessive autonomy. Mohar says the answer isn’t fear, but control. Clear guardrails, human oversight, and secure systems make all the difference.

Agentic AI is changing how work flows. Machines handle the volume. Humans focus on thinking, responsibility, and impact. Companies that get this balance right won’t just keep up, they’ll lead.
