Meet Italy’s New Police Supercar: The Italian State Police has added a Lamborghini Temerario to its fleet. The supercar is not intended for routine patrols, but for important services including emergency organ and medical-supply transport. It continues a Lamborghini-Police collaboration that dates back to 2004.
Nearly 1,000 HP of Hybrid Power: The Temerario combines a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 with three electric motors. Lamborghini lists total output at 920 CV, equivalent to roughly 907 hp. The hybrid powertrain gives the police car enormous performance while also showcasing Lamborghini’s latest electrified technology.
Built for Critical Medical Missions: This is no ordinary police patrol vehicle. The Temerario will be used for urgent transportation of organs and medical supplies, where rapid response can matter enormously. Lamborghini says its police vehicles have already participated in more than 200 organ-transport missions over the years.
It Gets the Full Police Treatment: The Temerario has been adapted for Italian State Police duties. Its distinctive police livery is joined by emergency equipment and communications technology. The result combines the visual drama of a Lamborghini with the practical equipment required for specialized emergency operations.
Supercar Performance Meets AWD: The standard Temerario uses an all-wheel-drive layout and an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. Its combined system produces 920 hp and 800 Nm of torque, according to specifications listed by Autocar India. The road car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds.
It Continues a Unique Police Tradition: The Temerario follows earlier Lamborghini police cars, including the Gallardo and Huracán. The partnership has lasted more than two decades and has included special vehicles deployed on Italian roads. The police fleet has also included the Urus Performante since 2023.
