Zepto has added Apple Pay as a payment option for users in India, giving eligible customers another way to pay for quick-commerce orders. The option is available through Zepto’s existing payment setup alongside UPI and other payment methods.
The integration comes shortly after Apple launched Apple Pay in India, with the service currently limited to eligible Axis Bank Visa and Mastercard credit cards. Users also need a compatible Apple device to access the feature.
Eligible users can select Apple Pay at checkout when the option appears. The supported device then authenticates the payment using Face ID, Touch ID, or the device passcode.
This setup means users don’t need to enter their card information for every transaction manually. Payment details stored in Apple Wallet can be used through the payment sheet during checkout.
For online and in-app purchases, users can select Apple Pay and authenticate the transaction on their device. Apple Pay is also designed to avoid sharing the physical card number with the merchant during a transaction.
At present, Apple Pay supports eligible Axis Bank Visa and Mastercard credit cards in India. Simply having a compatible iPhone does not guarantee access, as users also need a supported card. The list of supported banks and cards is expected to expand.
Apple Pay is available on supported iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch models in India, while Mac support is coming soon. For an iPhone, you need an iPhone XR or later running iOS 18 or later. Apple Watch support starts with Series 6 or later running watchOS 11 or later.

Apple Pay is an additional payment option on Zepto and does not replace UPI or other existing payment methods. Users can continue using UPI and other card payments separately.
The integration comes as Apple Pay expands across Indian merchants. Payment processor Razorpay has confirmed that Apple Pay is live across its merchant network, including Zepto, allowing participating businesses to accept the payment method without building a separate payment system.
For Zepto users, the immediate change is simple: eligible customers now have another payment method available at checkout.
