Xiaomi appears to be preparing two major flagship launches, with the global version of the Xiaomi 18 Pro surfacing online. At the same time, the upcoming Mix Fold 5 has received another regulatory certification in China. The latest developments suggest both premium smartphones are moving closer to their official debut, although Xiaomi is yet to announce launch dates.

Xiaomi 18 Pro Global Model Appears Online

The Xiaomi 18 Pro has now been listed in global databases, which may point to the phone getting a worldwide release after China. In the recent listing, the global model number of the Xiaomi 18 Pro is 26122PN61G, while the one in China is M261DB.

The list suggests that the brand’s flagship will be released in countries including Turkey, the European Economic Area, Russia, Taiwan, and Japan. Notably, India has not been included in the smartphone’s release plan. If all goes well for the company, it will once again bring the Pro-series flagship outside China, as it has done before.

Flagship Hardware Expected

Leaks suggest the Xiaomi 18 Pro could retain the secondary rear display first introduced on its predecessor. The smartphone is also tipped to be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset.

For photography, the device is expected to feature two 200MP SmartSens camera sensors, including a large 1/1.28-inch 3.0 LOFIC primary sensor. Reports also point to the inclusion of a dedicated AI button that could offer quick access to artificial intelligence features and camera functions. Xiaomi has officially confirmed none of these specifications.

Mix Fold 5 Moves Closer to Launch

Meanwhile, Xiaomi’s next-generation foldable has cleared China’s 3C certification, following earlier approvals from the SRRC and MIIT. The latest certification confirms support for 67W wired fast charging, indicating the device is nearing launch.

Industry tipsters claim the Mix Fold 5 may also support Ultra Wideband (UWB) connectivity, the N79 5G band, and Xiaomi’s in-house AI large language model. The foldable is reportedly being tested with the company’s Xring O3 chipset instead of Qualcomm’s next flagship processor.

What Else to Expect

The Mix Fold 5 is rumored to feature a 7.5- to 7.6-inch inner foldable display, a 200MP main camera, a 6,000mAh battery, wireless charging, water resistance, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Xiaomi has not confirmed the specifications or launch timeline, but the latest certifications indicate official announcements may not be far away.
