Xiaomi has launched Xiaomi 17T in India, bringing its T-series lineup back to the market. The smartphone features a Leica-tuned camera system, a 6,500mAh battery, and MediaTek's Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset. The flagship is tagged at Rs. 59,999 and will be available for purchase from June 10 across Amazon, Xiaomi's online store, and offline retail outlets.
Xiaomi 17T boasts a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera that offers 5x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. Selfies and video calls are managed by a 32MP front-facing camera.
The periscope lens really shines when shooting far-off subjects as image quality stays sharp. Additonally, Xiaomi has retained its collaboration with Leica. The camera system also includes features like Leica Live Moment and captures extra frames around the shot you capture.
Xiaomi has equipped the 17T with a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery. This makes it one of the largest batteries in its segment that supports extended gaming sessions, video streaming, photography, and day-long usage without frequent charging breaks. The phone also offers 67W HyperCharge fast charging for quick refills.
The smartphone has a 6.59-inch AMOLED screen with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, and reaches 3,500 nits brightness.
Under the hood, the product is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chip with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.
Xiaomi 17T is available in two versions. The model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at Rs. 59,999, while the other variant with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage can be purchased for Rs. 64,999. With an eligible bank offer, you get an instant discount of Rs. 5,000, dropping the starting price to Rs. 54,999.
Xiaomi 17T has a specialty telephoto camera, a massive battery, a smooth AMOLED screen, and top-tier hardware. It is perfect for buyers who want a flagship phone with decent camera without overspending.
