Xiaomi may introduce the Xiaomi 18 Fold in China during early September. New leaks now focus on the Xiaomi 18 Fold battery and charging system. Weibo tipster Bald Panda claims the device will carry a ‘6,000mAh battery.’ The source also lists ‘67W wired charging’ and ‘50W wireless charging.
Xiaomi has not confirmed these three power specifications. Therefore, buyers should treat them as ‘leaked details’ until the company publishes official product information. The company has confirmed its Xring O3 processor for the foldable. It has also shared details about a three-chip setup that handles processing and artificial intelligence tasks.
The claimed 6,000mAh capacity would add 900mAh over the Mix Fold 4’s 5,100mAh unit. Xiaomi’s previous foldable already offered 67W wired and 50W wireless charging. Therefore, the new model may raise capacity without changing its stated charging limits.
The figure also exceeds reported capacities for several competing wide foldables. Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 carries a 4,880mAh battery, according to the supplied reports. Huawei’s Pura X View uses a reported 5,300mAh unit. Still, battery capacity alone does not establish everyday endurance or charging time. Software, screens, network use, and processor demand also affect runtime.
The tipster did not reveal the battery chemistry, full charging time, or charger details. No current report confirms whether Xiaomi will include a 67W adapter in the retail box. Moreover, the leak does not explain wireless charging support for cases or accessories.
Xiaomi has confirmed that the 18 Fold will use its new 3nm Xring O3 processor. The company says the chip uses ten processing cores. Its C1-Premium core reaches a maximum 4.35GHz clock speed. Xiaomi also reported an AnTuTu result of 5,228,014 points during its China presentation.
The foldable will combine Xring O3 with two additional Xiaomi chips. Xring O100 will handle AI acceleration, while Xring D100 will support other AI workloads. Separate reports say the phone will debut next-generation LPDDR6 memory. Xiaomi also plans to use Xring O3 inside the Pad 9 Pro Max tablet. The company may announce both products at the same event.
The Xring O3 succeeds Xiaomi’s Xring O1 and will power two upcoming product types. Xiaomi has not published final retail performance data for the 18 Fold. Therefore, the benchmark score reflects the result shared during the company’s presentation. It does not measure camera quality, heat, or battery endurance.
Leaked images show Xiaomi moving toward a wider book-style design. The phone may feature a 6.56-inch outer screen and a 7.76-inch folding display. Another leak lists the inner panel at 7.6 inches. Both displays may use LTPO panels, 120Hz adaptive refresh rates, and a wider aspect ratio than Xiaomi’s previous foldable.
The rear design includes a wide camera bar and three visible cameras. Reports point to a 200-megapixel main sensor and two telephoto cameras. A red finish also appears in leaked images. Meanwhile, the phone may run HyperOS 4 based on Android 17. Other reported features include a side fingerprint reader, a redesigned hinge, and IP68 dust and water protection.
