Xbox players have eight games to try for free this weekend. The Xbox Free Play Days event is now live, with Crime Boss: Rockay City and Anno 117 free to all. The event runs from November 5 to November 8. There are six other titles that players can access for free during this time, but players need to have an Xbox Game Pass Essential, Premium, or Ultimate membership. The titles include:
Ixion (2-hour Trial)
Payday 3 (Xbox Game Pass Needed)
Nowhere Prophet (Xbox Game Pass Needed)
Ball x Pit (Xbox Game Pass Needed)
Deceive Inc (Xbox Game Pass Needed)
Age of Wonders 4 (Xbox Game Pass Needed)
There is something for every type of player in this week's lineup. PAYDAY 3 lets friends team up and plan bank robberies. Anno 117 takes players back to Roman times, where they can build cities and grow their lands.
Nowhere Prophet offers card-based battles, while BALL x PIT mixes brick-breaking action with base building. Deceive Inc. puts players in the role of secret agents. Age of Wonders 4 is all about building kingdoms and fighting fantasy battles. Crime Boss: Rockay City focuses on gang fights and crime missions. IXION takes players into space, where they must build a station and keep its crew alive.
IXION's two-hour trial may not sound like much, but it gives players enough time to get a feel for the game. They can explore the space station, collect resources, build important rooms and manage the crew. They will not be able to see everything the game has to offer, but they can understand its main gameplay.
The trial also helps players decide whether the game is worth buying. Managing a space station needs careful planning. The first two hours can give players a clear idea of whether they enjoy this kind of challenge.
Xbox's latest Free Play Days event offers a good mix of action, strategy, and adventure. Players can try several games before November 8, while IXION has its own two-hour limit. It is a good chance to discover something new without paying for the full game first.
