FitRadar has secured a $150,000 boost from Microsoft to expand its fitness community platform. The startup plans to improve user engagement, strengthen its technology infrastructure, and accelerate growth in the rapidly evolving fitness-tech sector.

As the sports and wellness technology sector is expanding globally, FitRadar aims to position itself as a platform that makes discovering and joining sports activities as simple as booking a cab online.

How FitRadar Plans to Use Microsoft's Backing

FitRadar is developing an app that will enable users to connect with trainers, athletes, and organizers to engage in local sporting events. They can use this application to find activities happening near them and organize and join events, as well as take part in fitness activities for over 55 sports types on the Android and iOS platforms.

Microsoft cloud credits will mainly help to develop backend capabilities for platform stability and product development as FitRadar enters its expansion stage in Europe. The newly awarded Microsoft support package represents a significant milestone for the company as it moves from product validation toward international growth.

Strengthening Community Engagement Through Technology

While FitRadar’s primary focus remains Europe, the platform has already attracted users beyond Latvia, including Germany, Lithuania, Estonia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. According to the company, hundreds of sports events have already been created through the platform, reflecting growing demand for digital tools that help people find training partners, join local sports communities, and participate in real-world activities.

“Our goal is to make discovering sports activities as easy as booking a ride or reserving a table online,” said Andris Žiganovs, co-founder of FitRadar. “Microsoft’s support gives us the infrastructure needed to scale that vision across Europe,” he added.

Through technological integration and social interactions, fitness platforms are revolutionizing the way users discover and engage with their health activities.
