Star Wars: Galactic Racer is now available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The game is priced at nearly USD 60 for the Standard Edition and USD 80 for the Deluxe Edition, but with a twist. Some players can get it for free on day 1.
The latest Star Wars game has launched with a surprise for Amazon Prime members. They can play the game’s single-player campaign through Amazon Luna at no extra cost. Amazon Luna is a cloud gaming service that allows Prime members to stream games over the internet instead of downloading them.
About the free access, Head of Gaming at Amazon, Jeff Gattis, has stated, “Luna players can jump into the single-player campaign today without needing to own a console or wait for a lengthy download. It’s exactly the kind of experience we want to deliver on Luna, and we think players are going to love it.”
Galactic Racer is developed by Fuse Games, a studio founded by racing game veterans who have worked on games from the Burnout and Need for Speed franchises. The gameplay allows players to take control of Shade and enter the Galactic League.
The game is set during the New Republic era and takes players through locations such as Jakku and Ando Prime. Players can pick different routes, upgrade their vehicles, and improve their skills during races. The game also has Arcade and Scenarios modes.
The Luna offer gives Prime members a chance to try Galactic Racer without buying the game. Since it is streamed through the cloud, players do not need to download the full game first. Luna can be used on supported computers, TVs, and mobile devices, although availability can depend on the region.

The surprise is exciting for sure, but there’s something players need to keep in mind. The Luna offer is only available for active Amazon Prime subscribers. Even with a subscription and access to the game, they don't receive a permanent copy.
The Luna version does give players access to the single-player campaign, along with Arcade and Scenarios modes. However, anyone looking for the full game and its wider online features may still need to buy it.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer has received a useful launch-day surprise. For Amazon Prime members, Luna offers an easy way to try the new Star Wars racing game before spending USD 59.99 on the full version.
