Spotify has renewed its partnership with Joe Rogan through a new multi-year licensing agreement for The Joe Rogan Experience, keeping one of the world’s biggest podcasts closely tied to the streaming platform. Announced Thursday (October 8, 2026), the deal lets new episodes continue appearing on Spotify and other major platforms, including YouTube and Apple.

According to reports, the new agreement includes terms similar to Rogan’s previous deal, estimated at about USD 250 million. The renewal extends a relationship that began in 2020, when Spotify signed Rogan to an exclusive arrangement.

Spotify Keeps Its Biggest Podcast Partnership

Rogan’s show has remained a major part of Spotify’s podcast strategy despite the company moving away from platform exclusivity. Under the 2024 renewal, The Joe Rogan Experience became available beyond Spotify, allowing audiences to access episodes through services such as YouTube and Apple.

Spotify said it will continue to release new episodes weekly across Spotify and other platforms. The show currently has more than 18 million followers on Spotify and over 21 million on YouTube, giving it a substantial audience beyond Spotify’s own ecosystem.

Rogan’s Audience Continues to Grow

The renewed agreement comes as Rogan continues to rank among podcasting's most influential figures. According to Edison Research figures, The Joe Rogan Experience was the most popular podcast in the US by reach in the second quarter of 2026.

The show, which began in 2009, is known for long-form conversations with guests from entertainment, business, politics, and science. Its broad guest list and lengthy interview format have helped it maintain a large audience while podcast consumption has expanded across video and audio platforms.

A Key Deal for Spotify’s Podcast Business

The renewal also underlines Spotify’s continued investment in high-profile podcast content. The company has expanded its podcast business considerably since signing Rogan, and the show remains one of its most recognizable properties.

Spotify executives have credited the partnership with helping the company’s wider podcast business grow. The platform has also highlighted how appearances on Rogan’s show can direct listeners to other podcasts, music, and audiobooks.

For Rogan, the agreement provides another multiyear relationship with Spotify without returning to the platform-exclusive model. For Spotify, keeping access to one of podcasting’s biggest audiences gives the company a valuable asset as competition for listeners and advertising dollars intensifies.
