SpaceXAI launched Grok Bot, an always-on AI agent that can handle work without constant human help. The Elon Musk-led company launched the service in beta for selected users on August 11. Grok Bot works through a cloud computer, allowing it to continue tasks after a computer is closed. The agent can use websites, files, browsers, and workplace apps to complete different jobs.

Grok Bot can research information, manage emails, check invoices, prepare reports, and handle other regular tasks. Several bots can also work together on the same job and share information. One bot can assign work to other bots and check their progress. SpaceXAI says this setup can help teams finish larger tasks with less manual work.

“Bots are AI teammates that do real work for you,” SpaceXAI said in its launch announcement.

The biggest difference comes from how Grok Bot works after a chat ends. Regular chatbots usually stop after giving an answer or completing a single request. Grok Bot can keep working in the background and return with the finished result.

The agent can also use websites that do not offer special AI connections. This feature could help businesses automate tasks across older systems and common workplace tools. Grok Bot can also learn a work process from a demonstration and repeat the same process later.

The beta is available on desktop and iOS for SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra, and Cursor Teams Premium subscribers. Enterprise customers can join a waitlist for future access.

Grok Bot also raises security concerns since the agents can access accounts, files, and browser sessions. Businesses may need strict controls before allowing bots to handle sensitive information.

The launch shows how AI is moving beyond simple questions toward completing real workplace tasks. SpaceXAI now joins OpenAI and Anthropic in the growing AI agent market.
