Samsung's Galaxy S25 series comes with new AI capabilities, but not everything is included in the One UI 7.0 update for older devices.
Samsung plans to unveil three AI tools with the launch of the Galaxy S25 series. They include Now Brief, Advanced Routine, and AI Gallery Search. AI Gallery Search organizes your images, Advanced Routine extends automation, and Now Brief gives you a summary of what's happening via notifications in real time.
Although One UI 7.0 adds several new features, the AI features that launch with the S25 series are not included in the update for older devices, including the Galaxy S24, Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6 devices, which will not have the Now Brief, the Advanced Routine, or the AI Gallery Search because of hardware.
On April 14, Samsung will begin a staged release of One UI 7.0. Samsung will release the One UI 7.0 update for multiple models, such as the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, Fold 5, and Flip 5. However, the aforementioned AI features will remain catalog-exclusive for the Galaxy S25 series.
The Galaxy S25 series establishes a new benchmark of possibilities with its capabilities with AI, but hardware needs on older devices limit what is part of the One UI 7.0 update. Users of older flagship devices will receive a lot of benefits and advancements, but some leading AI tools will not be included.
