Samsung anticipates the release of its next model of the Galaxy S25 series on 22nd January 2025. The Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra are expected; the series is expected to have significantly improved RAM capacity than the Galaxy S24.
Source – Abhishek Yadav, the Tipster for Samsung devices, suggests that all three models in the Galaxy S25 series will come with 12GB of RAM as the standard configuration. This is a change from the Galaxy S24, which only had 8 GB RAM for the base model. The removal of 8GB RAM is seen as Samsung’s modification towards top-tier performance and synchronization with the currently popular models.
Samsung Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ will have different memory options, starting from 12GB of RAM that can be paired with up to 128GB/ 256GB/ 512GB options. This upgrade allows more efficient multitasking and improved support for memory-intensive tasks as Samsung is committed to integrating more on-device generative AI features.
It is reported that the most premium model of the Galaxy S25 Ultra will be available with RAM options starting at 12GB up to 16 GB. The high-end versions with 16GB of RAM remain well-equipped for demanding applications, although competitors like the OnePlus 13. already offer 24GB LPDDR5X RAM.
However, Samsung’s RAM upgrade appeals to the need for faster on-device AI capabilities. In cooperation with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 elite chipsets, the Galaxy S25 Ultra provides users with an AI-integrated experience. There could also be improved storage solutions likely to be part of the Ultra, including configurations as high as 1TB.
The Galaxy S25 series is designed to be compatible with the new range of AI functions that the company plans to deliver. The enhanced RAM will allow the generative AI capabilities that used to rely on the functions of the cloud to work directly in the devices. This development allows the Galaxy S25 series products to perform their activities faster and have added response time.
