Xiaomi is preparing to increase sales of its Note series in India by releasing the Redmi Note 15 5G on January 6 at 11 AM IST. The latest model will be part of the event, which will live-stream the Redmi Pad 2 Pro and other launch activities held across the nation.
Redmi Note 15 5G’s display features a 6.77-inch curved AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. Xiaomi claims the screen can reach 3,200 nits at its highest setting. This feature makes it a decent display for outdoor use. Additionally, the smartphone is equipped with Hydro Touch 2.0 and TUV Triple Eye Care certified features.
The device is dust and waterproof with an IP66 rating that guarantees its durability. However, the handset is not suitable for full immersion in water.
The Redmi Note model has been officially confirmed to use Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor. The company asserts that the device will provide smooth performance for at least 48 months. This indicates the manufacturer's concern over the long-term usability of mid-range devices.
The smartphone comes pre-installed with HyperOS 2, which is built on Android 15.
Redmi Note 15 5G features a rectangular rear camera module with a curved design for better grip. The thickness measures 7.35mm. However, the Iris Purple version is slightly thicker at 7.4mm. Xiaomi has confirmed the phone’s availability in Black, Blue, and Purple.

The phone features a 108MP main camera that includes OIS and 4K video recording. A secondary camera sensor and LED flash also find their place on the rear side of the mobile device.
The smartphone has a 5,520mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. The device lasts close to 1.6 days on a single charge, while the battery can sustain performance for 5 years.
Redmi Note 15 5G will most likely have a starting price of Rs. 20,000, which is a bit higher than its predecessor. Xiaomi is also rumored to release the Redmi Note 15 5G 108 Master Pixel Edition along with the standard model.
