Realme is all geared up to launch its new flagship smartphones, Realme GT 8 and GT 8 Pro, in China on 21 October 2025. The company has already given us a sneak peek at major upgrades, assuring dramatic enhancements in battery life, screen quality, and camera performance.
Realme GT 8 Pro will carry a 7000mAh battery, an upgrade of 500mAh over the GT 7 Pro’s 6500mAh battery. These two models will feature 120W wired charging, in addition to 50W wireless charging and bypass charging, providing extra convenience for users.
While it has a bigger battery, the phone is thinner, at 8.2mm, compared to the 8.5mm predecessor. Realme boasts that GT 8 Pro can reach up to 50% of its capacity within 15 minutes.
GT 8 Pro boasts a 6.78-inch flat OLED display with 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, providing gamers and multimedia consumers with exceptionally smooth visuals. As for security, it has an ultrasonic fingerprint reader that is located under the display.
Additionally, the device will run on Realme UI 7, which is based on Android 16 from the get-go, ensuring that the latest system features and interface improvements are there from the very first day.
One of the most important features is photography. GT 8 Pro will use a Ricoh-approved 50MP main sensor (with a size of 1/1.56-inch) that comes with optical image stabilization (OIS) and will be combined with a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 200MP Samsung HP5 sensor.
The Realme smartphone will also be able to shoot 4K videos at 120fps with Dolby Vision, which is perfect for professional videography. A new swappable camera module design provides flexibility for users to opt for square, round, or robot-style configurations.

The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, combined with Realme’s R1 chip to improve graphics and power efficiency. There will be configurations of up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, which will be a behemoth for gaming and heavy multitasking.
Realme GT 8 Pro aims to establish the manufacturer’s position even more strongly in the premium range by offering the best battery life, the latest hardware, and a perfect camera in an elegant, easy-to-use package.
