Realme has announced the launch of its 14 Pro series 5G smartphones in India on January 16, 2025. The series will include two models, the Realme 14 Pro and the Realme 14 Pro Plus. The two new devices will feature India-exclusive colorways, Bikaner Purple and Jaipur Pink, with color options that reference the cities of their origin. In addition to unique options, a Suede Grey version variant will be available globally.
The design innovation goes further by integrating the world’s first cold-sensitive color-changing back panel. Developed in partnership with Valeur Designers, the panel features advanced thermochromic pigments that react to temperature changes. The panel turns from pearl white to deep metallic blue when the temperature is below 16 degrees Celsius and turns to pearl white again when the temperature rises. The back also features a pearl-inspired texture of pearls typical of seashells and adds to the device's premium.
The Realme 14 Pro series boasts a quad-curved AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a faster 120Hz refresh rate screen. The ultra-thin bezels are 1.6mm on all sides. The display also supports 3840Hz Pulse Width Modulation dimming control, making it comfortable in various lighting environments.
Smartphones are poised to revolutionize mobile photography by packing the latest crop of camera technology. The devices have a 50-megapixel Sony IMX896 primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilisation(OIS ), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 32-megapixel autofocus-enabled front camera. The Pro Plus model extends the additional 50MP Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto lens with a triple-reflection for enhanced up to 120x zoom. An added feature of MagicGlow Triple Flash offers more control over the light intensity and color temperature for optimal photography results.
Realme has integrated Artificial Intelligence in the Realme 8 Pro imaging features, such as AI Ultra Clarity, which enhances the resolution. AI HyperRAW, an advanced HDR processor, and AI Snap help capture dynamic subjects’ images.
The two phones in the 14 Pro series have Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processors paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256 ROM. The devices have a high-capacity 6000mAh battery; Pro Plus supports 80W wired charging, and Pro offers 67W charging. The smartphones are water and dust-resistant, with IP68, IP69, and IP66 certifications.
Realme officially stated that the 14 Pro series will be released on Flipkart, Realme’s platform, and through physical stores. In color schemes, desi vibes blend with new-age features, and the Realme 14 Pro series is all set to redefine mid-ranged smartphones.
