Quant (QNT) surged 16.78% as its technology partnership with The Clearing House fueled buying activity and strengthened market momentum. QNT remained above its 20-day, 50-day, and 200-day moving averages. Meanwhile, futures open interest climbed to USD 167.93 million as traders responded to the tokenized banking initiative. Still, sharp price swings and large wallet movements added fresh supply concerns.
The Clearing House partnership centers on the On-Chain Money Initiative, which targets tokenized interbank deposits. Quant will provide technology designed to connect different banking and payment systems.
The structure addresses a key challenge facing banks that develop separate tokenized deposit networks. Those systems can create isolated pools of digital money that cannot easily communicate with each other.
Quant aims to provide an interoperability layer between those networks. The Clearing House said participating financial institutions could clear and settle tokenized deposits while maintaining links with traditional payment rails.
Therefore, Quant's role focuses on infrastructure that connects bank-issued digital money rather than operating another standalone cryptocurrency network. The arrangement also places its technology between new tokenized systems and existing payment infrastructure.
Market activity accelerated after the announcement. QNT futures open interest increased to USD 167.93 million, while high trading volumes and stronger retail participation accompanied the price rally.
Large holders also transferred nearly USD 10 million in QNT to exchanges. Still, the integration does not require participating banks to hold or use QNT tokens. As a result, the partnership has not established direct long-term token demand.
QNT's advance has included sharp swings rather than a steady rise. The token initially climbed toward USD 330 before falling toward USD 232. Buyers later returned and pushed the price back near USD 280.
The wider move has lifted Quant by about 250% during the week. That advance has created substantial unrealized profits for traders who entered during the latest phase of the rally.
The USD 300 level has now become an important area for buyers. A sustained move around that zone would follow the recovery from USD 232, while renewed selling could increase short-term volatility.
Meanwhile, the Relative Strength Index stood at 68.04. The reading showed that bullish momentum remained elevated after cooling from levels above 80 earlier in the rally. That decline from overbought conditions gives traders another measure of the market's current momentum. Profit-taking risk has also increased after QNT's rapid weekly appreciation.
Attention has also shifted toward a dormant founder's wallet that returned to activity after roughly seven years. The wallet transferred 25,776 QNT, worth about USD 6.97 million, into new wallets.
The transfer marked the wallet's first activity since it became dormant. However, the tokens moved to new wallets rather than a centralized exchange, so the transaction itself did not indicate an immediate sale.
The larger wallet balance remains more significant for market participants. The address still holds about 600,000 QNT, valued at approximately USD 160.39 million at the stated market price.
Further transfers toward centralized exchanges could increase available supply and attract closer attention from traders. For now, the remaining holdings have not moved toward an exchange based on the information provided.
At the same time, QNT continues to trade above its 20-day, 50-day, and 200-day moving averages. That structure supports the strong momentum that followed the Clearing House announcement.
The combination of higher open interest, increased trading activity, large-holder transfers, and the USD 300 price area now defines QNT's immediate market setup as the token extends its volatile weekly rally.
