iPhone 18 is expected in India in spring 2027, with leaks pointing to a 6.3-inch OLED display.
Apple skipped the standard iPhone 18 during its September 9 event, launching Pro models and iPhone Duo instead. Reports suggest the company plans a separate spring launch to spread its iPhone lineup across two release windows.
The standard model could reach India around March or April 2027, with a starting price near Rs. 88,990. Apple has not confirmed the launch date, price, or specifications yet.
The expected iPhone 18 could bring a 6.3-inch LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED panel with 120Hz ProMotion support. Peak brightness may reach 3,000 nits, while a smaller Dynamic Island remains part of current speculation. These display details come from leaks and could change before launch.
Performance may center on Apple’s A20 chip, which reports expect to use a 2nm process. The base configuration could include 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Some newer reports also suggest 9GB or 12GB RAM for AI-related workloads.
Camera upgrades could give the iPhone 18 a stronger focus on computational photography. The phone may feature two 48MP rear cameras, including main and ultra-wide sensors. A 24MP front camera with Center Stage support also appears in recent reports. The rear setup could improve detail, cropping, and low-light processing.
Battery capacity may reach around 4,000mAh, with 25W charging support reported for the standard model. The phone is also expected to ship with iOS 27 and Apple’s newer AI features.
Pricing remains one of the biggest uncertainties for the India launch. Current reports place the base model around Rs. 85,900 to Rs. 88,990, while higher configurations could cross Rs. 1 lakh.
Apple’s confirmed September launch already includes the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max in India. The company says those models start at $1,199 and $1,299 in the US, respectively. Their September availability reinforces the reported two-phase launch strategy.
iPhone 18 remains a leak-driven story, so specifications, pricing, and launch timing can change. Apple could reveal final details closer to the expected spring 2027 release.
