QRKY.ai is developing technology that turns traditional QR codes into interactive visual elements for advertising, packaging, print and out-of-home media. The company aims to help brands connect physical advertising with measurable digital engagement.
Instead of placing a standard QR code beside an advertisement, QRKY.ai integrates the code into images, graphics, and other creative assets. As a result, consumers can scan the visual itself to access digital content, product information, offers, or other online experiences.
QRKY.ai operates at the intersection of media technology and consumer engagement. Its platform allows brands to convert images and visual assets into scannable QR experiences that can appear across digital out-of-home advertising, packaging, retail displays and print campaigns.
The company says this approach can help advertisers connect consumer attention with a measurable action. Traditional billboards, print advertisements and packaging can attract viewers, but brands often have limited ways to measure what consumers do after seeing them.
“The advertising industry has become very good at buying attention, but the harder question is what happens immediately after that attention is captured,” QRKY founder Anand Basu said.
Basu added that QR codes do not need to appear separately from an advertisement as functional buttons. Instead, QRKY.ai aims to make the scannable element part of the image or video used in the campaign.
“We believe the physical creative itself can become the bridge to interaction,” Basu said. “QR should not have to sit outside the idea as a functional button; it can be the ad itself.”
QRKY.ai has worked on campaigns involving Titan brands Mia and beYon, Bangalore International Airport, Jaguar and the World Wildlife Fund. The projects covered store openings, collection launches, product launches, and information displays.
According to the company, its QR designs recorded scan rates between three and 3.6 times higher than conventional QR codes across deployments conducted over the past year. QRKY.ai also reported a fourfold increase in scans when its codes appeared on advertising hoardings.
The company attributes the higher activity to graphical QR designs that form part of the advertising creative. However, the reported scan figures come from QRKY.ai's own campaign data and may vary depending on location, campaign format, audience, and placement.
QRKY.ai uses scan data and engagement analytics to help businesses measure interactions with physical media. Brands can track consumer actions after a scan, giving them additional data from channels that traditionally provide limited direct-response information.
The QRKY.ai platform supports several physical marketing formats. On product packaging, brands can connect consumers with setup videos, manuals, warranty registration pages or product authentication services.
In print advertising, businesses can use interactive QR designs to connect posters, brochures and flyers with offers, menus, registration pages and other digital content. The company also supports visual QR experiences for retail and out-of-home advertising.
QRKY.ai is also exploring branded UPI QR applications. Such codes could combine payment functionality with brand visuals while maintaining a consistent design across physical payment points.
The company launched in 2025 and has worked with brands in sectors including FMCG and fashion. QRKY.ai says its technology can transform images and videos into scannable media while giving advertisers data on consumer engagement.
The company is incorporated in Maryland, United States, and says its technology is protected through patents. Its broader focus remains on linking physical brand media with digital actions through interactive QR technology.
