PUBG Mobile has launched its much-awaited 4.0 update, and it is filled with new features, spooky events, and improved gameplay. The update officially started rolling out worldwide on September 3, 2025, at 7 AM IST, and players are already exploring the changes.
The true gem of PUBG Mobile 4.0 is the new Spooky Soiree mode. In this Halloween-themed mode, PUBG becomes a fantasy world filled with haunted castles, glowing loot zones, and eerie sights. Players can strut around with high risks and even higher rewards in Magic Mirror Castle and Wraithmoor Mansion.
In this update arrives a brand-new companion, Ghosty. Ghosty is not just any spooky friend; this pet can fly, create shields, and heal his teammates all at once. Through these moves, a lot of extra support is provided on the field during team fights.
Alongside Ghosty, the Magic Broom takes to the skies as a flying vehicle, which lets players swoop over the battleground while trying to outwit foes in style.
The Mortar weapon is another major feature. It brings long-distance explosive power to the battlefield, allowing one to simply strike down enemies from afar. Active precision or quick strike modes added an entirely new dimension to the strategies in combat. Similarly, presentation reload mechanics coupled with smooth shooting animations serve to make combat a genuinely real kind of experience.
Beyond Spooky Soiree, the update refreshes many areas of the game. On Erangel, the town of Lipovka has been redesigned with new buildings and extra spots to explore. Metro Royale Chapter 22 gets rebalanced missions and resources, while World of Wonder introduces fresh tools for creative play. The new Cycle 7 Season 22 starts with tier changes, ranked rewards, and an upgraded title system.
Special events are now live, giving players a chance to collect Soiree Candies and exchange them for limited-time rewards, outfits, and skins. Login bonuses and seasonal missions also offer free items during the Halloween update.
Installing the update is simple. Players can open the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, search for PUBG Mobile, and tap Update. For Android, the APK and OBB files are also available from trusted platforms like TapTap. The rollout is happening in stages, with Android users usually getting access before iOS players.
